Terms
Terms of Service
These terms set the conditions for using QuizLab (quizlab.me), its free games and guides. No account or payment is needed to play; the conduct rules in Sections 6 and 7 apply to everyone.
Effective date: October 9, 2026
1. Purpose
These terms define the conditions and procedures for using the QuizLab service (the 'Service') provided by 에비듀, a sole proprietorship registered in Korea (the 'Operator'), and the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Operator and users.
2. Definitions
- 'Service' means the browser games (Sudoku, 2048, Minesweeper, Korean Wordle, Typing Practice, BlockDrop), guides, and leaderboards offered at quizlab.me and its sub-paths.
- 'User' means anyone who uses the Service under these terms.
3. Posting and changes
These terms are posted at /terms, linked from the site footer. The Operator may change them within the limits of applicable law, announcing the effective date and reason on this page at least 7 days in advance. Changes unfavorable to users are announced at least 30 days in advance.
4. The Service
- All games and guides are free and playable in the browser without sign-up or installation.
- Game progress, statistics, and settings are stored in your browser's local storage on your device.
- Leaderboards publish your nickname and score only when you choose to submit them.
- The Service is funded by Google AdSense ads, placed so that they do not cover the play area.
5. Accounts
No sign-up or login is currently needed to use the Service. Apart from the nickname you type when submitting a leaderboard score, we do not collect account information. If a feature requiring an account is introduced, these terms will be amended first under Section 3.
6. User conduct
Users must not:
- Submit abnormal scores to leaderboards using bots, scripts, or code manipulation
- Use nicknames containing profanity, hate speech, impersonation, or personal information
- Send excessive requests or bypass security measures to disrupt the Service
- Intentionally click ads repeatedly or encourage others to do so
- Copy and distribute the Service's puzzles, text, or design for commercial purposes without permission
7. Leaderboards and nicknames
The Operator may remove or hide scores and nicknames that appear to violate Section 6 without prior notice. You may request removal of your own scores or nickname at any time, and the Operator will remove them promptly after confirmation.
8. Paid services
QuizLab currently offers no paid services and never asks users for payment. If a paid service is introduced, its price, billing and cancellation terms will be posted in these terms under Section 3 before it starts.
9. Withdrawal and refunds
Because nothing is currently sold, no charges or refunds arise. If a paid service is introduced, withdrawal and refund rules under applicable law, including the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, will be posted in this section.
10. Changes to and suspension of the Service
The Operator may improve games, add new ones, and change or retire some games or features when operationally necessary. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or events beyond reasonable control.
11. Intellectual property
Rights to the Service's puzzle generation, guides, design, and logo belong to the Operator. You may freely print (e.g. Sudoku A4 prints) and share for personal, non-commercial use. Notices for open-source software and public-domain literary works used in the Service are on the Open Source Licenses page.
12. Limitation of liability
- Game records are stored in your browser, so records lost by clearing browser data, changing devices, or using private mode cannot be recovered.
- For the free Service, the Operator is not liable for damages unless caused by the Operator's intent or gross negligence.
- Typing speed, game scores, and other measurements are for fun and practice only and do not replace official test results.
- Advertisers are responsible for the content of ads shown on the Service and for the products or services they offer.
13. Privacy
The Operator protects users' personal data in accordance with applicable law and the Privacy Policy, which describes the data collected, purposes, retention periods, and advertising and analytics cookies.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes related to the Service will first be discussed in good faith by email; if unresolved, they will be settled by the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. Users may also apply for mediation with the Korea Consumer Agency or a similar body.
